Ambassadrice
€ 210,00
The name Ambassadrice was born when an earlier black-and-white necklace was purchased by the wife of the Hungarian ambassador. The name stuck—and gradually took on a second meaning: Ambassadrice became, in a sense, the ambassador for my necklaces crafted entirely from handmade glass beads.
Each decorated bead is individually handcrafted using the lampworking technique. The glass is shaped and decorated in a flame of approximately 800 °C. A single bead can easily require 30 to 40 minutes of concentrated work. Afterward, it isn’t simply set on a table to cool: for about 5 to 6 hours, the glass is slowly cooled in the kiln according to a precise program. Only then are the openings thoroughly cleaned, and each bead can find its place in the necklace.
The combination of deep black glass with ever-changing black-and-white patterns makes Ambassadrice vibrant without losing her elegance. No two decorated beads are exactly alike—ranging from dots and circles to fine lines and small graphic surprises. Up close, there is always something new to discover.
The necklace is approximately 47 cm long and features a unique clasp. The length can be adjusted upon request, though in my opinion, the design looks best when worn relatively close to the neck.
Matching earrings can be made upon request. And when Ambassadrice becomes a gift—for someone else or a well-deserved treat for yourself—a beautiful, elegant jewelry box can be added.
